Accessing the Mobile Sitter App: Avoiding Headaches

The Problem

If you use the LeashTime Mobile Sitter app, you probably start it each day by tapping on the LeashTime shortcut on your phone's Home screen.  Each time during the day that you return to the app to check your schedule or mark a visit complete, you probably tap the same shortcut again.  And, unless you have that shortcut set up just right you wind up having to login again and maybe you find that you open a fresh LeashTime tab in your browser each time.

We are introducing a solution to these problems that involves a new shortcut and a simple change to the procedure you follow when returning to the LeashTime Mobile Sitter app.

The Fix

Step 1: Delete that shortcut!  Delete the LeashTime Mobile Sitter App shortcut from your home screen to make room for the improved shortcut.  See the section below that describes your phone for specific instructions.

Step 2: Replace that shortcut! In your preferred web browser on your phone, go to https://leashtime.com/app .  Then follow the steps listed below for your specific phone to add a shortcut to this page to your home screen.

Step 3: Don't use the LeashTime Mobile Sitter App shortcut more than once a day!  By all means, use the LeashTime Mobile Sitter App shortcut when you start out each day to get to the login page, but after that use your phone's browser shortcut to return to LeashTime.  The LeashTime tab that you were using earlier in the day will still be there, ready to use (although you may need to switch to it if you opened another tab in the meantime).  If the tab is not there, then you can still use the LeashTime Mobile Sitter App shortcut.
